Come late March, early April, there is a special thing that happens here in Texas ~ It’s bluebonnet season! Just from my observation, bluebonnets go in cycles, one year they aren’t so abundant, the next year, they are growing and blooming like crazy. (also depends on how much rain we get too). And as most of you know, last year’s bluebonnets were a bit lack in luster. I am crossing my fingers that this will be the year that the bluebonnets burst out everywhere, you need to take a drive up Hwy 290 along from Chappell Hill in to Brenham you will find a lot of fields to take your pictures if you have a lot of time head out Hwy 36 toward Somerville Tx. or take Hwy 105 out of Brenham and take a left on Hwy 50 and head toward Independence TX. where you will find a lot picture opportunity's for you and the family, once in Indendence Tx. look on the right and you will see the Antique Rose Emporium a great place for pictures or a good place to buy some rose bushes for your home. We spent the day in the blue bonnet fields and a few other places taking picture's of our son Ryan and our twins Rylee & Raelyn.
